Pectoral Cross
A pectoral cross is often worn on the chest (Pectus in Latin), along with a ring, as a sign of office by bishops and abbots. Priests and ministers presiding at the Mass and other liturgical celebrations often wear a pectoral cross as part of their liturgical garb. It reminds us that, in imitation of Christ, we are called to bear with love and patience the many crosses and afflictions that come into our lives. Many of the solid bronze crosses available here are wonderfully suitable for use as pectoral crosses. Just add a bronze ring and 28" bronze chain for a wonderful and unique gift for your priest or minister.
