The Donkey measures 3.2 inches high and is composed of dolomite stone and resin. The cloistered nuns labor on each and every piece by hand in the atelier of their monastery in Western Europe. Each nun prayerfully goes about fulfilling her assigned task as her tangible contribution to the completion of each piece. Because of where, how, and by whom all of these pieces are fashioned, the Nativity Dolomite Color Series can only be ”culturally authentic”.
