The Infant Jesus of the Nativity Dolomite Color Series is the absolute center of the mystery of the Nativity. This piece – fashioned with faith in a monastic workshop of religious sisters in Western Europe – is one of fifteen pieces in a most exquisite nativity scene (crèche). The Infant Jesus, along with the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph will make a fine beginning to the crèche which you are keeping or presenting to a loved one or family or church as a gift. If you acquire a few pieces each year, it will not be long before your crèche is complete and prominently on display in your home, office, church or school!
From Europe with Love (and Hope and Faith) – A Crèche in Dolomite
The Infant Jesus is 3 inches long. This and all 14 other of the pieces are fashioned from dolomite stone and hand-finished by sisters in a monastic community in Western Europe. Through their careful division of labor, each sister of the monastic community prayerfully completes assigned task as her contribution to the completed crèche piece. Every piece of every nativity set is indeed a labor of faith, hope, and love!
