I know the humiliation of failing and the fear of ridicule and rejection. I dread giving scandal to others.
May I learn from your second fall how important it is to to persevere in doing good, loving you and loving others.
Let me never sink into the trap of self-pity, remorse, neurotic guilt and self-condemnation.
Even though my efforts fail so often and I may feel that I cannot go on,
let me give my burden to you, trust in you and carry on.
I trust that you are always with me and that you hold me in the palm of your hand. With you I can do all things.
I thank you that through your obedient love you have raised up a fallen world.
