The Ewe of the Nativity Grande Creche White Series is gazing with interest at Jesus, the babe in the manger, the King of the Jews, the absolute focus of this and every Nativity, and the actual “reason for the season.” A community of cloistered nuns made this piece along with seventeen others which now compose this nativity set (or crèche). Consider acquiring for your crèche the Ewe with the ox, donkey, sheep and lamb. By acquiring at least two or three pieces each year, you will soon discover that your Grande Crèche is quickly becoming ever more complete. The Ewe – A Labor of Love, Faith and Hope
The Ewe stands 7 inches tall. Molded from local dolomite stone and resin, every piece is finished by hand by the nuns in the atelier of their monastery in Western Europe. Each sister prayerfully finishes one specific task as her part in bringing every piece to completion. Because of how, where, and by whom these pieces are made, the Grande Crèche (white) is ”culturally authentic” as well as a most remarkable labor of love, faith and hope!
