Product Description
Our Angel of Affection Miniature figurine holds a heart in joyful anticipation to congratulate, comfort, offer peace, spark joy, and express affection to the recipient. Greek for “messenger” (ἄγγελος – ángelos), the angel is a messenger of the Divine. An angel hearkens attentively to God and then whispers of God’s intimate and loving presence in our lives. This simple and elegant piece is a reminder of God’s love and care for each of us, and our love for one another. Sometimes a symbol or image can capture and communicate a message better than one’s words. This angel piece is an ideal gift for many situations.

Angels? Guardian Angels? Archangels?
God – being God – does not, of course, need angels, guardian angels,or, for that matter, archangels or creatures of any sort. Yet – in God’s omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence – God nevertheless deigns that angels exist in creation. God has placed angels in a most fitting position in the hierarchy of existence: angels exist right below God but right above human beings. Like God, angels, exist above human beings, since, like God, they are pure spirits not bound by space and time in our universe. However, angels, like human beings, are able to reason, to imagine, to love. Yet they also are, like human beings, below God, since they do not possess the divine attributes of omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience. The great “Angelic” Doctor of the Church, Saint Thomas Aquinas, envisions a hierarchy of heavenly creatures within the great hierarchy of existence: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominations, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels, and Angels. While angels come last in this heavenly hierarchy, they nevertheless come first for many, many persons (especially children) who ask them to bring God’s comfort to them. As guardians and companions on our life journey, angels celebrate with us when we are joyful and comfort us when we are suffering and grieving.
