The Sheep of the Nativity Creche d’Autun Series gazes serenely on the newborn baby Jesus. This unassuming piece – fashioned with faith by nuns in their cloistered monastic workshop in Europe – is one of eleven pieces in the striking Autun nativity scene (or crèche). The Sheep, along with the ox and donkey, will be an essential addition either to your still incomplete Autun crèche for your own family, or to the crèche intended as a Christmas gift for another family or for your church. When you acquire two or three pieces each year, you will soon complete the entire Autun crèche, now ready for full display during Christmas time in your home, or in your workplace, office, or church!
The Autun Crèche – Made of Dolomite, Made with Faith, Hope and Love
The Sheep is 2.4 inches in length. All eleven pieces in the Autun crèche are fashioned from a composite of dolomite stone and resin and then finished by the nuns in the workshop of their monastery in Western Europe. Each sister prayerfully performs one specific task on each and every piece. The Autun crèche is consequently a legitimate labor of love (and faith and hope)!
