The Saint Joseph of the Nativity Grande Creche White Series sits in awe and veneration of the Infant Jesus, the central mystery of the Nativity. Fashioned with faith by cloistered nuns in Europe, this Saint Joseph statuette is one of 18 pieces in a truly breath-taking nativity set (crèche). This Saint Joseph, along with the Infant Jesus and Virgin Mary (see below), are the first three pieces to be acquired. After you have these three pieces, you can then begin making your Grande Crèche complete, year by year. One day your Grande Crèche will be complete and ready for display it in its entirety during the Christmas season in your home, workplace, office, or church!

The Saint Joseph measures 10.6 inches high and, together with the other 17 pieces of the Grande Crèche (white), is made from a composite of dolomite stone and resin and then completed by hand in the sisters’ monastic workshop. While in prayer, each sister performs a specific task to bring to completion each and every piece. The Grande Crèche (color) is most eminently “culturally authentic” and a real labor of love, faith, and hope!
