This is a really fine crucifix that can’t be appreciated from a picture. We actually can only imagine Jesus as crucified but would never actually want to experience this event in real time. The Cross becomes a tree of life as Christ has defeated evil itself laying down his life to take it up again after 3days. The cruciform halo signifies the victory of Christ as Savior, as we are through this redemptive act and in repentance for our sins,in Faith, joined with Christ as bonded to this tree of life. Rebirth is to be born again to take up our own crosses to follow in the way,truth of that life of Christ. This work of art depicts the real Christ Mass Tree. We imagine Christ crucified at every Mass, so as to remember this Incarnated King risen for all at Easter. This crucifix is a reminder of the everlasting love of God, as Jesus is the lamb of God,the perfect and only sacrifice,sufficient to offer forgiveness of sin and to achieve the mercy of God for the whole world.
