This simple piece – fashioned with faith by cloistered nuns in their European monastery workshop – is one of 11 pieces in the charming Autun nativity scene (or crèche). The donkey, along with the ox and sheep, will be a fitting addition either to your still partial Autun crèche for your own family, or to the crèche which you intend as a Christmas gift for a loved one, for another family, or for your church. The Autun Crèche – Composed of Dolomite, Made with Faith, Hope and Love
The Donkey is 3.5 inches in length. All eleven pieces of the Autun crèche are composed of dolomite stone and resin which is then individually finished by the sisters in their monastic workshop in Western Europe. Each sister has one specific task which she prayerfully accomplishes on each and every piece. The Autun crèche is then without a doubt a transparent labor of love, hope, and faith!
